Hm, they are standard file formats that any browser or image viewer should handle, so my guess is that, if it's just these maps, you have corrupted files? Anyone else having trouble with them?
As an example, your Eye forum avatar is a jpg. So if you're seeing that, your browser isn't having trouble displaying jpgs. Maybe try downloading them again? Or I could email them to you?

No they're working on Chrome. Probably some setting I've screwed with in Firefox. I also downloaded a free image viewer that isn't having issues viewing them.
