Why yes you are. On the other hand some of you are too far away from everyone else. The benefit to being close is easy trade. The downfall is that's you're going to be killing one another unless you come to quick agreements. The benefit to being spread out is you're relatively safe because CCR. On the other hand your income is going to be limited for some time.

I notice that there are some unnamed islands. I assume they are uninhabitable and won't come into play until we are close to exhausting the easily obtained crude oil much later on in the game?

How is ITV calculated? My guess is that province income is going to outstrip trade for quite some time.

ITV will be calculated for you. Regional, city and intercity income will be higher than trade for some time because many of you are going to need to build trade caravans and trade fleets to trade. The only way to trade without a fleet or caravan is to have a region in your HBZ touching a region with your partners HBZ.

The unnamed islands are too small to populate (there may or may not be people on them but they will never have a NFP/GP value of more than (0/0), but large enough to how towns/cities or a fortress.

Already did. Alex (joined last night) took Ravens spot and Raven picked up a new position.

I noticed in the ISI Rankings list the Ostir-Synv Alliance does not make an appearence. Did someone take that position?
