Some issues with the maps. I made the mistake of creating them manually and am now having issues with scanning them and the borders. Hopefully I'll get everything done by this weekend which means I'll release you your stat sheets either this weekend also or the next weekend (or maybe even during the week if I don't have to put in more than 50 hours).

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to seeing the map(s).
Are the positions totally randomly assigned?
Do you have any more information about this world for fluff or are you winging it?
To be clear, I completely respect the later and look forward to whatever might come.

I have already generated the known history of the world. If I don't post the maps this weekend I'll probably post it. Just to give you all some information though...
The continent you are either starting on or near (there are islands) has recently emerged from an ice age that lasted thousands of years. During the ice age most of the population has died off, leaving small tribes of nomads. The "world" population is improving, leading to the forming of long term alliances and the beginnings of civilizations (the players).
Religions are a hodgepodge of dirt worshipers, sun worshipers, spirit talkers, (you get the point). There is currently no known organized religion or religious order. In this regard you will all get to attempt to define your own religions and suffer the consequences or reap the benefits of what may come of doing so.
There are ruins that show proof of earlier civilizations. They mostly used bronze and copper metals, but did work iron and steel. This is the technology level everyone is starting at. This is not a 100% mundane world, though it's certainly not comparable to CD. There is a tribe of humans with an extraordinarily long life span, a legend of a man who has walked the world for thousands of years, the occasional outbreak of a sickness that makes entire tribes go mad and feel an insatiable appetite for the flesh of other people (until they die out of starvation, which will often be fairly damn quick because these bad boys can't read maps or do a very good job at following trails in their maddened condition), and tales of Gods descending from the heavens. I expect your stat sheets will all have many notes from me from time to time and sometimes you will be praising my name, sometimes you will be cursing me and sometimes you will just say "WTF? That came out of BF left field"
I try to add a little humor to every turn. I will interpret your orders in my own way if they're not clear, but I will always attempt to interpret them so as to benefit your nation.
I will generate the values of all your incomes and support costs on your stat sheets. If something looks wrong ask because at first I'll be doing it manually. Eventually I'll get the database and spreadsheets built up and linked right so everything generates on its own. Keep in mind that there is a random multiple that makes it impossible to calculate your own exact income, so if it looks close more than likely it's right.
And last, the fing maps are kicking my ass. The funny thing is I finally got a copy of adobe photoshop. No clue how to use it yet though.

Sounds great! Will be good to have everyone on a near even footing to start. I've only known what playing from behind (far behind) is like to date.
Looking forward to the map(s) and backstory.
